Some people are unsure whether the 52 Organizing Missions is right for them. So I wanted to provide some further insights into the product by writing a Part 2 Review of 52 Organizing Missions. Here are some areas where I think that the product can really assist with your home organization and decluttering goals.

Accountability and Keeping Motivated

You can improve your accountability with decluttering your home by getting email reminders, getting supported by online check-ins and through the use of interactive tools.

With the email reminders, you can choose to have a different mission emailed to you on a regular basis. It only takes 30 minutes to complete an organizing mission, and one of the benefits of having a mission emailed to you is that it promotes accountability.

Having systems in place to make you accountable is essential. Why? Because without accountability, our basic human nature usually means that we end getting lazy about carrying out a task or goal that we have set ourselves. It can be disappointing and discouraging not to give our goals a fair shot. And the person that you’ve disappointed the most is actually yourself.

So when it comes to accountability, I suggest doing whatever it takes to make yourself accountable. As well as the accountability measures that are included with the 52 Missions program, there are additional accountability measures you could put in place.

Some suggestions including talking to a friend every day to report your achievements against your goals. It could be blogging about it, and tweeting about it or posting on your Facebook wall, so everyone knows how you are progressing. If you are progressing well, great! If you are not progressing as well as you would like to, it’s not the end of the world. You just need to keep moving forward to achieve your goals.

See Your Home and Personal Life Organization with Fresh Eyes

Have you looked around your home recently? If you have, you might have noticed some changes. It’s funny that when we take the time to stop and pause for a second or two, that we see things with fresh eyes. With the 52 Organizing Missions Home Organizer, just by going through each mission, will help you see things through fresh eyes. It could be as simple, as “I hadn’t take a really good look into my handbag, and when I did, boy was I surprised how much stuff I had in there.”  “Thank goodness I ‘ve cleared my handbag out. It’s been a breath of fresh air.”

New Resources to Help You Get Organized

Having new resources can really jolt your current habits, and I don’t mean this in a bad way. I just mean that you start to think in new ways and see how you can do things better. And that includes doing things better at home, in the way you get organized. As I said before, getting unstuck is really important. It’s that old glue that keeps us doing the same things in the same old ways, and sometimes we just need someone to give us a helping hand to get unstuck.

Your Own 52 Organizing Missions Checklist

The checklist that comes with the 52 Organizing Missions is a real God send. It helps to keep you on track, and you get a real sense of satisfaction to tick off each mission on your checklist.

If you’re still feeling overwhelmed, can’t find the time to declutter, or just need a helping hand.

Freedom from Procrastination – Is it as Easy as Getting Motivated to Declutter Your Home?

Procrastination  is one of the reasons for a lot of the stress that we experience in our modern society today. If we are not rushing around at a thousand miles per hour, then we are deliberating and stalling on whether we should do something.

Wouldn’t it be great to get some relief and achieve a level of freedom from procrastination?

The Relationship between Decluttering and Productivity

If only we could get rid of some of these unwanted emotions, we would feel much more productive in our daily lives.

Is it easy as getting oneself to be motivated? It usually goes something like talking to ourselves in a positive and friendly manner. “I am feeling motivated.” But is motivation enough? It seems that merely being motivated is not always enough to get us to complete the tasks that we need to.

Motivation vs Drive

It needs something bigger than motivation, and another thing that we call drive, can be a stronger influencing factor than motivation. Drive is something that we do automatically, whereas motivation is a conscious thing that we do and say to ourselves. “I must do task such and such tomorrow.” “I must get motivated to declutter next week”. “I will start my cleaning my room tomorrow.” etc.

What are the bigger factors that influence us towards achieving our goals. It is the drive to do something.

Getting Motivated to Get Organized

Making lists can be a great way to get organized. But you need to think about the bigger picture, or what we have been discussing, the concept of drive.

Somehow when you say something along the lines of “I need to get motivated to declutter my house today”, it doesn’t always work. Try visioning a decluttered home, and now you are talking. That clear vision will be something that if we can imagine big enough, we can start to move towards that vision. Little by little, our subconscious will be at work, to move us towards that target vision.

Harness the Power of our Mind

Our minds work in such a way that we experience something called cognitive dissonance if what our current status is, is different from our desired state. So with the example above, we envision a well organized home, versus the current state of our home which is a disaster zone. If we keep visioning that well organized and decluttered home, soon we will start taking the actions to move towards that desired state from our current state.

Our mind is a powerful tool that we should use to work for us, rather than against us. Freedom from procrastination doesn’t have to be hard if you apply the techniques to best harness the way our mind naturally works.

Who is the Freedom from Procrastination Program for?

This program is for anyone who has a challenge with procrastination and getting things done.

At one stage of life or another, this week, today, last month, it is likely that you might have suffered from procrastination.

Typical scenarios:

You need to finish that report at work that has been outstanding for a long time.

You need to clean up your garage to have that garage sale. A declutter task that you’ve been talking about for ages but still hasn’t been done.

Sound familiar?

It’s time to tackle procrastination.

What I liked about this program?

Jeff Putnam’s technique to overcome procrastination is simple. It’s so simple that at first you might be sceptical. But it is based on sound foundations, which I believe are based on the principles of neuro linguistic programming (NLP).

Just to give you a bit of background about Jeff. He now runs his own business Freedom by Design, Inc. which he has been running with his wife Joy for more than 10 years. Previous to that, he and his wife were both Master Coaches working for the well known motivational speaker Tony Robbins.

As such, the technique that he guides you through to eliminate procrastination is based on NLP.

He doesn’t worry too much about the exact procrastination problem that you are suffering from i.e. in terms of the exact details. But focuses more on the end result of what you want.

This program will be effective for any aspects of your life where procrastination is impeding your progress. This could be your home life, your work life, personal relationships etc. It can pretty much be applied to your whole life.

Was the program easy to use?

I found the program easy to apply. The program comes in video format that you can watch at your own pace. It’s a good idea to take notes as you view the video. If you are feeling lazy about taking notes, the video does come with a handy pdf document to read and review at your own leisure.

What I didn’t like about this program?

There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the program. In his videos, Jeff does place a bit of emphasis at the end of the videos on marketing his other product MindScan and his personal coaching services which are a little more expensive. It’s entirely optional whether you choose to buy his other product and receive his personal coaching. You can still great value from the Freedom from Procrastination program, if you choose not to go ahead with the MindScan and personal coaching.

Summary

The Freedom from Procrastination is good value for the price it is, and what is provided. I’ve never really seen any product quite of its kind. I thought the Bonus programs thrown in on Emotional Mastery and the Success Webinar were very useful. All in all, you are getting over 6 hours worth of material for a low cost investment.

There is a guarantee attached, so if you don’t find the program to your liking, you can always get your money back.

Like with any self help program, you’ll need to spend at least 5 minutes every day applying what you have learnt from the program, for it to take effect.

It is well worth it, if it helps you to feels more energetic and tackle your problem with procrastination head on.

More Home Organization Tips – Oh, no it’s the Doorbell!

The doorbell rings…..oh, no………there is someone at the door, and your home looks like a disaster zone! Hurry, panic…..it’s time to get organized. To avoid overwhelm and procrastination, and find the time to get organized, there are some simple habits to adopt, so that you can easily get organized at home.

Here are some handy home organization tips to whip your house into shape.

Finding the Time to Declutter

We’ve heard it time and time again the common saying “I’m too busy. I really can’t find the time to declutter my house.” Think again. There are 24 hours in the day, and 7 days in the week. Surely, you are able to find time to declutter and organize our home.

Find 30 Minutes, or Else!

Finding 30 minutes each week or each day, if you can manage it, is a great to way to keep your home organized. Call it maintenance time, the time required to keep your house in order. Errands and household tasks will come up from time to time that require your attention. Attend to these declutter tasks now, rather than at some unknown point in the future. Find thirty minutes each week, or else. Make an appointment in your calendar with yourself if you must to declutter your home.

“Whilst Waiting ” Approach

Doing mini chores or little tasks whilst you are waiting for something else is a great way to find time to declutter your home. Whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, keep a few dishes. Whilst waiting for the washing machine to finish its load of clothes, fold and keep clean clothes that have just come out of the last washing machine load.

Begin the Organizing Task

Rather than worrying endlessly about finishing a task, let’s start at the beginning by just starting the task. This is the mental hurdle most of need to overcome,ie. beginning a task, rather than worrying about completing the task.

Work At your Own Pace

Once you’ve begun an organizing task, be mindful and tackle the task at your own pace. “Easy does it” is good motto to abide by. Focus on the task at hand, and nothing else.

Visualize the Successsful Outcome

Too often, we procrastinate and dwell on what we don’t want. It’s time to think about and visualize what successful outcome we would like to achieve. So let’s have a go at visualizing the successful outcome. Think of our perfectly organized home…..Ok, maybe let’s be a bit more realistic. Visualize a well organized home, rather than a perfectly organized house. If you’ve got children, maintaining a perfectly organized home, all the time, may be a little optimistic.

Products that Maximize Storage Space

I’ve noticed when browsing the Stacks and Stacks online catalogue that they have great products that maximize the use of storage space. Even if you live in a small apartment or house with limited storage, it’s quite possible to purchase storage solutions that create extra storage space if you only have a small living space.

Examples of their products include underbed storage and undersink storage. The space under our beds are often under utilized, so purchasing underbed storage items makes a lot of sense. As for the kitchen sink, it’s great to have under sink storage such as racks to organize items for cleaning your dishes.

It’s great to support the use of products made from recycled materials, and green products that have a lower environmental impact on our earth. With Stack and Stack’s range of eco friendly products, you can shop for products that are more environmentally friendly.

Some of these products including storage products made from recycled materials, and cleaning products that are chemical free .
